Winter hiking on the Bödele

The Bödele is Dornbirn’s local mountain for peaceful winter days: rolled winter trails start at the pass summit, leading through gently snow-covered forests and across open alpine meadows, with sweeping views of the Rhine Valley and Lake Constance. Depending on how much time you have and how you feel, you can choose short circular routes lasting around 45–90 minutes; when snow conditions are good, some sections are even suitable for strollers. Refreshment stops along the route provide a warm break. Winter boots with good tread are recommended, and poles may be useful in icy conditions.

From harry’s home Dornbirn, you can reach Bödele in a short drive or comfortably by bus; parking is available on site. Insider tip: When the air is clear, the viewpoints near the pass summit are worth visiting for photos in the winter sun.
